Handmade Recreations of the Pre-1600 World

Crafting history with scholarly accuracy. Discover our artisanal collection of medieval and renaissance items, featuring handmade crafts, detailed replicas, and scholarly insights from Curio and Crucible.

Blacksmithing

The core of the Curio and Crucible workshop. We recreate functional ironwork from the Viking and Medieval eras, using traditional coal forges and hand-striking techniques to produce historically accurate tools, hardware, and cooking implements.

Hand-Forged Items from $45

Leatherwork

Each piece is individually hand-stitched using traditional saddlery techniques. From heavy-weight bracers and historical armor components to utilitarian belts and satchels, we only utilize vegetable-tanned hides for authentic durability.

We honor the needle and thread of the past. Our textile works feature hand-loomed fibers, natural plant dyes, and embroidery patterns based on extant finds from pre-1600 Europe, suitable for high-end reenactment and museum display.
